Now you have an alternative to leaving your pets alone, or in unfamiliar surroundings with strangers. Pet Sitters "R" US is an in-home pet care service that specializes in providing personal care and attention for your "friends", when you just can't be there to do it yourself. When you use our service, we come into your home (we are bonded and insured) so you are able to leave your pet in their normal familiar surroundings, and know they are happier and more content, than they would have been in an unfamiliar place. We also follow your daily routine as closely as possible and, after careful consultation with you, customize each visit to the specific needs of your pet, which in return reduces the feelings of stress and anxiety that your absence may cause for your pets, and you. Our service includes feeding, watering, and exercising. Your pet receives personal attention while you are away. We spend quality time with your pet, which includes walks, petting and loving. We also specialize in administering medication and caring for both younger and older animals. Your home should look “lived in” while you are away, and we ensure that it does. Collecting mail and newspapers, performing daily security checks, rotating lighting, watering plants - are all part of our standard service and are provided without additional cost. House sitting services are also available. Our initial consultation is "FREE", so give us a call today. We would love to meet you and your "friends". I‘m Gary Hix, founder and owner of “Pet Sitters R Us.” After retiring from a successful thirty-year career, in the telecommunications industry, I began my search for the “perfect” job. The perfect job should include something you love (so it won’t seem like work) so it was only natural for me that this job would revolve around animals. My family and I have shared our home and lives with Labrador Retrievers for the past thirty years. At present, we are still being “trained” by a 14-year-old black Lab named Rocky, and a 2-year-old yellow Lab, named Dusty. I know that my dogs are much happier in their own home than being boarded in unfamiliar surroundings by people they don’t know. Our pets enrich our lives in so many ways; don’t you think they should receive the best possible care, in their own home, even when you can’t be there? That’s exactly what “Pet Sitter’s R Us” provides for your pet, loving care in familiar surroundings, by people that they come to know and trust.. Contact me today to discuss your pet sitting needs. Your pet's routine should not be disturbed unless absolutely necessary. By boarding your pet(s) you risk their comfort, health and social well-being. Just the ride to the boarding facility alone is a hassle for you as well as stressful for your pet(s). Having a professional pet sitter come to your home is the next best thing to having you there. 2) What services do you offer? Private on-leash walks, in-home pet visits, in-home overnight sitting, pet taxi to the groomer, vet and trainer, house sitting and more. Do you need someone to run errands? Let us know...we can help! 3) Do you provide service for the occasional user or do I need to sign a long-term contract? No long-term contract is required. Many of our clients have us visit their pets on a regular ongoing basis, but a large percentage of our business is for families going on vacation, business trips, when there is an emergency and someone needs to look after their home and pets. 4) Can I meet my sitter? Of course! When you become a new client your sitter will call you and schedule a free meet and greet with you. He or she will meet you and your pet(s) to learn the routine. In most cases you will have the same sitter. If your sitter is not available, another one of our qualified professional pet sitters will be. 5) How many keys do I need to give my sitter? We require 2 working keys and they should be given to your sitter during the initial consultation. One key is for the sitter; the other key is for the office or the back up sitter, just in case something happens to the sitter. Most clients have us keep their keys on file so we are ready for future service. If you require your key to be returned, there will be a charge for future key pick up or drop off arrangements. If you live in a gated community, please provide us with a gate card or code access. We will not go through apartment complex leasing offices to be let into your building. 6) Are you bonded and insured? Yes, we are a bonded and insured through Business Insurers of the Carolinas. We will provide contact numbers for verification. 7) How many visits a day do I need? We try to accommodate every situation; the least frequent service we offer is one visit per day. We can do one to five visits per day, a combination of extended visits and/or overnights - whatever fits the needs of you and your pet(s). We will be happy to discuss your requirements during the initial consultation and help you come up with a schedule of services to fit your needs. 8) What forms of payment do you take and when do I pay? Payment is due prior to the start of service. We accept checks and cash. Please leave your payment in a central area for your sitter to pickup along with any notes or instructions for the sitter. We also accept Master Card/VISA/American Express/ and Discover through PayPal on our web site. You do not need a PayPal account to use this service. 9) How do I book pet sitting service? You may schedule on line using the schedule now button on the reservation page of our web site, or you may call the office at 770.982.0737. 10) Who are your pet sitters? Our pet sitters are mature, responsible animal lovers who are carefully selected based on their experience and high ethical standards. 11) Does my sitter accept tips? Yes. Although tips are not required, if you wish to tip your Pet Sitter, please write a separate check in the Pet Sitter's name or leave cash for your Sitter. Your pet sitter receives 100% of all tips. 12) What are the holiday charges and when are they? Cancellation Policy: For cancellation of service due to early returns, and and for non-holiday reservations, a 24-hour notice is required, or the client will be charged the rate of one visit. After the cancellation fee, any remaining balance will be applied to future pet sitting visits only. No refunds will be given. All holiday reservations require a 7-day notice for changes and cancellations or Client will be charged for the services reserved.
